Ayushmann Khurrana is back with yet another out-of-the-box story while playing another weirdest possible role in a movie. Releasing on September 13, 2019, Dream Girl is a rom-com directed by Raaj Shaanilyaa. After the immense success of movies like Badhai Ho and Andhadhun, Ayushmann Khurrana has once again pulled something brave out of his hat. Unlike past times, neither is he playing a disturbed son whose mother gets pregnant not is he playing a con blind artist. This time Mr. Khurrana goes beyond our imagination by pulling the role of a “Dream Girl”. Other than Ayushmann, Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, and Rajesh Sharma are also in major leads.

Storyline and Starcast

Well, Ayushmann Khurrana has always blown the audience with his movies. While other actors are doing patriotic genre, commercial cinema to stay in the limelight, this man just goes after the script and into its quality. As per the trailer of Dream Girl, from the very first scene, this movie captivates you in its funny magic. Ayushmann, who is a simple guy has the ability to talk in a female voice. He plays the role of Sita in Ram Leela’s play. From his very first female dialect, he owns the show. After that, he takes up a job in the call center where he talks to different customers in his female voice. As the movie will go, this fictional person Pooja, who is the female version of Ayushmann in the movie will start attracting bees. Thanks to his seducing voice on calls, people start to get hit by Pooja’s talks. Nushrat Bharucha plays Ayushmann’s love interest in the movie and at one point, she will get frustrated by men asking her about Pooja.

From cops to Nushrat’s brother falls for Pooja and the call sensation takes this movie to the comedy of errors. This movie is surely going to break movie stereotypes in India and will attract a mass audience- a unique idea, great cast, rom-come genre, and what not! A crazy idea of making a man play a woman’s character and her voice is surely working with Ayushmann as we saw in the trailer. From sarees, bindis to red lipstick, Ayushmann easily carries it all. All set and tight, he is ready to give tough competition to other actresses with his sensual voice and act. This comedy of errors is what we were waiting for since day one of 2019. But, it is better late than never! Along with debutant director Raaj Shaandilyaa, Khurrana and Bharucha masterwork is surely going to take the Friday and weekend with a storm. The film also features Annu Kapoor, who will be seen as the father of Ayushmann in the film. The duo has also worked previously in a movie called Vicky Donor, where both of them bagged tons of appreciation.

No one is looking for a high-class movie where the protagonist is living in Switzerland or fighting for his love, cheesy dialogues, and unrealistic stuff. People are looking for movies that are relatable, make them laugh, cry, and takes them with story’s rollercoaster ride. The national award-winning actor, Ayushmann Khurrana has been doing such great work for many years now. This is one of the biggest reasons that people have shown immense love for the star cast and the trailer of the movie.
